Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) that peakemanagement.com uses, and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help a site function and can tell the site owner how it's being used. "Local storage" works similarly but is stored differently by your browser.

Cookies and storage we use

Strictly necessary

NamePurposeDuration
pm_cookie_consentRemembers your cookie choice, along with the date you made it and the version of this policy it applied to (local storage, not a cookie)12 months, or until this policy changes — whichever comes first. We then ask you again.
pm_submittedSet only when you actually submit the enquiry form, so that reloading or sharing the confirmation page cannot be mistaken for a second enquiry (session storage)Cleared when you close the tab

These are needed for the site to remember your preferences and cannot be switched off.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across other websites — so under UK data protection law it doesn't require consent.

Marketing / advertising — only set with your consent

NamePurposeDurationProvider
_fbpMeta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising — lets us see which ads led to an enquiry3 monthsMeta Platforms, Inc.
_fbcStores the Meta ad click ID so an enquiry can be attributed to the ad that produced it3 monthsMeta Platforms, Inc.

The Meta Pixel does not load at all until you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Reject", it never runs. If you accept and later change your mind, rejecting removes the Meta cookies from your device, unloads the pixel and reloads the page so nothing from it keeps running.

Separately from cookies, when you send an enquiry and you have accepted the banner, we also send Meta a server-side record of that enquiry (a "Conversions API" call) which includes your IP address and browser user agent. This is described in our Privacy Policy.

Managing your preferences

You can change your choice at any time using the link in the site footer, or by clearing your browser's site data for peakemanagement.com.

We also ask again automatically if you made your choice more than twelve months ago, or if this policy has changed since — so a decision you made a long time ago is never treated as a decision about something new.
